Sunset Motor Sports was originally founded by Stu Ness, Robert Ellsworth and Dan Long and opened for business on March 1, 2004 (for pictures of our Grand Opening party, click here). A short time later our beloved friend Dan passed away, and was replaced by David Yeoman as sales associate. Yeoman later acquired a stake in the company when Ellsworth left the partnership to pursue other business interests.
Sunset Motor Sports is the culmination of a lifelong love of full size motorcycles for the owners of the company. The company has been an almost instant success due to the backgrounds and expertise of the owners, Stuart Ness and David Yeoman.
Representing over 50 years of combined experience in riding, owning, selling and servicing full size bikes, these entrepreneurs have brought together the enthusiasm, the talent and the expertise needed to create a truely unique company.
David Yeoman is a former hill-climb and dirt-track racer, who rode for the factory teams of both Harley-Davidson and Yamaha. Stu Ness is a former Sales Manager for a Harley Davidson dealership with nearly twenty years experience in selling and servicing Harleys. We have both owned and ridden full size motorcycles for at least 25 years and have established ourselves as successful sales professionals by putting the customer first. Our sales philosophy is to EDUCATE rather than PRESSURE the customer, which can only be successful when combined with a wide selection of high-quality products from which the customer can select the motorcycle that is right for him, indivdually. The goal is to make your motorcycle buying experience unique, enjoyable, interesting and educational.
